Yup, so after having my iPod's hardrive get fried, I finally got around to it and bought a Zune. I really like this so far, and it makes me squeal whenever I see it work. >w<>

The Zune is pretty big, compared to the iPod, but I don't think it's really that big of a problem. It's a lot sturdier than the iPod is, and I think when it comes to a weight to size ratio, Zune wins. The outside of the Zune is entirely plastic, and has a really smooth feel to it. There's a second layer of plastic on the top, which is shaded for each Zune differently. With black, the layer is blue.
Although the layout is basically the same for the Zune and iPod, the Zune has a better system used to store and manage music. It also makes it more personal to change, with different backgrounds and things like that. Here I have Stella in the background. The screen for the Zune is a lot bigger than the iPod, and a smaller scroll wheel is used. While playing music, 3/4 of the screen will be taken up by the artwork of the song. The backlight of the Zune is also at a set time, but it turns off completely while off to save battery life. When in video or picture mode, the screen goes from vertical to horizontal.
The WiFi feature is something really cool that Microsoft put into the Zune. When it's on though, it takes up a lot of battery power. Luckily, it can be turned off at the settings menu.
When it came down to it, I think that the Zune is far superior to the iPod. There are a lot of attempts to make it better, and for the most part, they all shined through the night. The ending statement? Fuck you Apple, I'm in the social now. xP
