Yup, so after having my iPod's hardrive get fried, I finally got around to it and bought a Zune. I really like this so far, and it makes me squeal whenever I see it work. >w<>

The Zune is pretty big, compared to the iPod, but I don't think it's really that big of a problem. It's a lot sturdier than the iPod is, and I think when it comes to a weight to size ratio, Zune wins. The outside of the Zune is entirely plastic, and has a really smooth feel to it. There's a second layer of plastic on the top, which is shaded for each Zune differently. With black, the layer is blue.

Although the layout is basically the same for the Zune and iPod, the Zune has a better system used to store and manage music. It also makes it more personal to change, with different backgrounds and things like that. Here I have Stella in the background. The screen for the Zune is a lot bigger than the iPod, and a smaller scroll wheel is used. While playing music, 3/4 of the screen will be taken up by the artwork of the song. The backlight of the Zune is also at a set time, but it turns off completely while off to save battery life. When in video or picture mode, the screen goes from vertical to horizontal.

The WiFi feature is something really cool that Microsoft put into the Zune. When it's on though, it takes up a lot of battery power. Luckily, it can be turned off at the settings menu.
When it came down to it, I think that the Zune is far superior to the iPod. There are a lot of attempts to make it better, and for the most part, they all shined through the night. The ending statement? Fuck you Apple, I'm in the social now. xP

The mandatory intro post...sorta...

Huh, okay. I'm never the type of person to make things like this, but I still did on a whim, it seems. At the moment, I should be reading Jane Eyre, but come now; gothic victorian crap, or wasting my life away in front of a 1024x800 screen? Easy win, obviously...

But aside from me, I guess I should say some things about me... Well, I'm a guy, more specifically a teenager. I'm a typical anime-loving teen, except...I'm not, really. While I'm only 15, I've been an anime for 12 years now. My first anime was a rather obscure show, known as SD Gundam Gaiden. First thing that most people think of when the mention of SD Gundam comes, is the CG kids show that aired on Cartoon Network, SD Gundam Force. Yet for some reason, people just hate this show, that I don't really understand. It was a fun little show after all. Now, I don't actually know what I'm going to do with this blog as of yet, because my brain seems to lack the ability to process this along with the Anime World Order podcast at once. But for a general idea, I guess I'll write about SD Gundam Gaiden, try and get people to maybe watch it.

Now, SD Gundam Gaiden is a very small chain when it comes to SD Gundam. While there are many side stories in SD Gundam, there were two in particular that were their own seperate stories with characters used in different manners and such. There was SD Gundam Gaiden, which was set in a medieval world; the mobile suits being SD and using swords, magic, bows, all of the stereotypical weaponry and storylines. Then, there was SD Gundam Musha, which was set in feudal Japan, I want to say. Just by the nature of what it was, SD Gundam Musha was much more popular, and plamo kits of these Gundam samurai are still being made even today. With something like Musha, Gaiden simply never caught on. But I initially saw Gaiden first, and because of that I can't help but hold a soft spot for it.

Now, SD Gundam Gaiden opens up in a rather unusual way. In fact, I never understood it as a child even and simply ignored the scene. The show starts with black clouds everywhere, and then a single ball of light shoots off. However, a black ball appears and gets in the way of the ball, splitting them apart and then two balls form, shooting off in opposite directions. With that, the main character, Knight Gundam is introduced. He does not remember anything about him, other than his name, and rescues a princess known as Frau. As she thanks him and leads him back to the castle, they find the surrounding kingdom gates, just smothered with bodies(Of course, no one is dead, they just got whacked with the swords). There they meet Knight Amuro, who tells them of the man who led this attack; Satan Gundam. And that is how SD Gundam Gaiden opens.

If any of you like Gundam, you may have noticed something about the names of these characters; they are characters from the 0079 Mobile Suit Gundam. Along with that, they also have the same voice actors as well. Just a small little thing that the directors added that was nice.Perhaps people noticed, but the plot to this is very, very simple. I can't really reccomend this to people now. It's not so much that the show did not age well, as it is that no one really cares about SD Gundam, or Gundam at all for that manner. So the average teenager isn't going to go on Bittorrent and download it when they can get their other better like Negima?! or some other crap like that... But I feel that this is the perfect thing to show to a little kid. If you have kids, I would highly suggest downloading it and atleast trying to show them it. I was thoroughly entertained as a child, and I'm sure others would be so as well. I'm fact, even now I hold this show deep within my heart as one of my favorite anime. Now if you value my opinion, go look it up.
